Friends, the time is short.
None of us knows which day will be our last. I am more aware of this now than ever.
In my younger years, I was concerned with how I might be perceived, or whom I might offend. But I'm old now, and I find that I no longer have much concern about either of those things. And here's the thing: At the end of our lives, whom do you suppose we should be concerned with? About who's opinion of ourselves do you suppose we should concern ourselves? Is it not God's?
I have been greatly encouraged by the number of my childhood friends who have apparently found Christ as their Savior, as have I. I am greatly encouraged that so many affirm the preeminence of God in their lives, and the importance of His principles for living, both personally and societally. But society at large has not gone in this direction.
And the time is short now, and I feel an acceleration of events on two fronts:
- First, we're all starting to get old, and we have not that many years left.
- Secondly, society, world-wide, has gone insane, and there are few left who still think clearly.
Call me an alarmist; call me a conspiracy theorist; I care not what anyone thinks. The fact is simple and clear: we are now buried beneath a sea of new-think influence. We no longer have a society which would implore us to consider things like,
"...our own responsibilities, and how we might make plans to carry them out."
In place of that ideal, we are daily called upon to "pay our fair share," to "give back" (even to those who have not "given to"), to contribute to the cause of supporting those who do not address their own responsibilities.
We are now implored to "consider others" in new and revolutionary ways. We should pay a tax to some entity in exchange for burning a gallon of gas, or for burning a log in our wood burning stove in order to keep ourselves warm. We should get vaccinated for a disease from which we have already recovered. We should wear a mask in public so that others will feel more comfortable around us (as though it is beyond their ability to simply avoid us). Climate change will surely kill us all unless we do more, more quickly, than we have done. And it will be our fault if anyone dies, unless we join this fruitless and futile effort to reverse the demonstrably infinite forces of nature which we can in no way resist. The hubris is thick and heavy. Yet the pundits demand that we all stand in line and pee on the base of a forest fire as its crowning flames tear through the forest canopy above us. We must each do our part...
We are being asked to bear the load of guilt as being complicit in the undoing of anyone and everyone around us, should a misfortune befall them. If you're white, then you owe a debt to any miscreant in prison who happens to be Black or Hispanic. Society is insane. You are not an individual, you belong to a group. And group rights trump individual rights. There is no such thing as individual accountability; there is only group accountability, and whatever group you're in—that's your accountability. Are you white? You owe a debt to the descendants of your ancestors' slaves. Are you wealthy? You owe a debt to the poor, regardless of why they are poor—regardless of how foolish or irresponsible they are with their own money.
And as for your civil rights... The political left now demands that you regard them as privileges which you have enjoyed at the expense of the rights of others. Remember the ERA: the Equal Rights Amendment? Having abandoned the notion of pushing that through, the leftists have simply redefined the concept of rights such that you no longer believe you have the right to claim them. You have no rights, for to claim them now represents the most egregious flaw in your own character—namely, that you would trample upon the poor, less fortunate souls who missed the opportunity to claim the rights which you yourself hold dear, and would uphold for all people.
What you thought were your God-given rights, as proclaimed and summarily claimed by our American Founding Fathers for all men, have been converted into the lowest form of human privilege, as though derived directly from the subjugation of others—as though, for instance, the fruits of free enterprise rise not from the initiative of the compassionately ambitious, but rather, exclusively from the evil-hearted designs of oppressors of those with less privilege. Has your business been successful? You are evil. This is the modern assumption, for the indoctrination is complete, and the new-think is now firmly implanted into the hearts and minds of our youngest generation. Of course, they are all highly conflicted, as they pursue success for themselves, all-the-while unable to reconcile their own desire for success with their need for new-think compassion and care for the less fortunate. No wonder the teen suicide rate is increasing.
It is for this reason that I proclaim that American superiority is dead. It is in the past. We have made ourselves inferior, for we cannot bear the guilt of success. And here is why we see the simultaneous rising of the big-tech, ostensibly "caring" and "compassionate" leaders of our Brave New Economy; Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft, CNN, MSNBC. The leaders of these companies—let's be clear about this, shall we?—do NOT subscribe to the notions of the evil and guilt of success into which we have been indoctrinated. No, they are in it for the gain, and they care scant nothing about whom their actions might oppress, minimize, or belittle. They don't care. But you kids think they do care, and THAT is what makes me angry—the fact that so many subscribers to the new-think ignorantly, naively, and willingly believe the best about these industry moguls. All I can say is, "Wake. Up!"
In short, no one is responsible for themselves; everyone is now responsible for others. This is our new socialist existence: Responsible people must provide for the irresponsible among them. Welcome to the brave new world. It is not brave; it is cowardly and sophomorically immature. Our political leaders are nothing more than spoiled little snot-nosed brats who advocate for their own ilk. Yes, I am being brash and uncouth, because when the present reality is this ugly, exposition of the truth demands abandonment of any more genteel approach. Sorry, not sorry. The king has no clothes!
The "Circle of Life" is not a circle.
Thirty-five years ago I saw a guy wearing a tee-shirt bearing the phrase,
"No Vestige of a Beginning, No Prospect of an End."
I asked if he was a geologist. He looked at me curiously, then said, "No, I just like the general philosophy of the statement as it applies to all areas of life." All I could think was, "Well, you were born, and you're gonna die. So... what are you even talking about?" The slogan is clearly a romantic attempt to find an extended significance to one's own existence, as though we each contribute to something important, even after we're gone... even though we admit that we don't even know what that thing is while we're still alive. The irony is thick, and the futility is palpable. Yet we see this sentiment expressed in myriad documentary films on nature, as they subscribe to the idea(s) of evolution as the source of all living things. For them there is a "circle of life," which has somehow guided itself through the millennia, culminating in the birth of mankind on our planet.
But what if human history isn't open ended? What if there's actually an end? What if things will actually roll up into a final culmination? What if human history will one day draw to a close? And what if that were to happen within our own lifetimes? What if?
This thought naturally conjures visions of cataclysm, as if the end of humanity must comprise annihilation by the earth's collision with a giant asteroid, or a solar super-nova event, or perhaps the "mutually assured destruction" brought on by global nuclear confrontation.
But what if it were more simple than that? What if we're all actually living according to a plan that was put in place ages ago, and we're about all done right now? What if God has a plan for the end of the human race? All of the mono-theistic religions, in fact, anticipate this. They all recognize human history not as an open-ended, mindless, endless "circle of life" existence. Rather, they predict and anticipate an end; a culmination; a fulfillment.
Friends, I believe we're nearly there. And if we're not, I am nonetheless assured that there is an end for each of us, and it's not far off! I'm gonna die soon, and so are you! Let's face it: the idea that there is no prospect of an end is pure lunacy.
In this light, I think that I and my like-minded contemporaries were made, by God, and placed into this present point in the timeline of human history,
for such a time as this.
Is this simply self-aggrandizement? No, for I would rather shirk this responsibility. I'd much rather simply enjoy my private retirement in relative ease, unfettered by the world's own turmoil. But in this respect, our generation has been robbed. We shall not enjoy the security or the peace within which our parents enjoyed their retirements. Our world is not the one that was theirs. Theirs was a much more innocent age. We, on the other hand (as Don Henley and Bruce Hornsby together attest), have lived out this new age of ours: The End of the Innocence.
The proliferation of evil is hidden from the blind.
When I was a kid, very few people gave credence to the idea that evil spirits or demons actually exist. They were legendary, that's all. Today we all know damn well that they exist—unless we are blind—, as we observe their influence in our world daily. What is strange to me is that people don't seem to fear them, as though anyone can simply resist the influence of demonic forces with one's own power or will. Of course the demons like it that way. They're happy to be regarded as weak by mortal men, knowing they can all the more easily drag people into hell with little resistance. But you and I, my friends, were made for a time such as this.
Thus I proclaim:
It is only by the redemptive power of Jesus Christ, crucified for the sins of mankind, that anyone can escape the demonic and satanic plan for the destruction of his or her own eternal soul.
If you think otherwise—if you believe you possess the power to resist evil in your own strength—you are destined for destruction. You shall not prevail. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. In and of ourselves, we simply don't measure up. We cannot attain righteousness. We are as good as dead until we die, our own death merely a pending reality.
Friends,
it is time to rise!
Forsake your already dead ways. Confess your sins to God. You know what they are; shall you pretend that God doesn't?
Or shall you pretend that God will overlook your sins, even in light of the fact that He sentenced His own Son to death to pay for them? Think about it. All you need to do is acknowledge to God that you have sinned—just as the demons have sinned—except that God offers you forgiveness, something the demons cannot receive! We hear a lot about "white privilege" these days, and many would compel us to recognize it. I think instead we should recognize our own "human privilege" —that God offers us humans, and no other beings in all His creation—forgiveness.
Or will you continue to mingle with the demons, thinking that your disapproval of their behavior somehow exonerates you from all wrongdoing? At your judgement, how interested do you suppose God will be in your own assessment of good and evil, if you have failed to recognize His gift of forgiveness offered to you by His own Son at the cross of Calvary? Let me implore you to look into these things. Let me insist that you answer that question honestly.
What I am saying makes sense. We cannot attain righteousness ourselves (for we cannot undo all of our wrongs!), but Jesus Christ can impute His righteousness unto us! He has the power to do that. And according to His word, He is willing to do so if we affirm His lordship over our lives. It's actually very simple.
So rise up, my friends! Do it now, for the time is short.
There Exists an Agenda
Do you suppose that the COVID 19 virus just happened to show up out of nowhere? Will you think the same about the new small pox pandemic when it shows up next year? Is it at all significant that the same corporate entities which sell the vaccines for these things have direct ties to the ones holding patents on the viruses from which the vaccines protect us? Could there be something evil afoot?
But why? What would it all be for? Two things:
- reduction of the world's population, and
- control of the world's population.
Satan hates mankind. He likes it when people die. And if he can't kill someone, he will enjoy controlling them as long as they're alive. In fact, he likes using them as tools to kill others, or simply like toys for his own perverse enjoyment. He's sick and twisted, a liar and a thief, a child molester, a monster of unimagined proportions. He is more powerful and more intelligent than any man, and he routinely outsmarts the smartest of men, cleverly offering them a counterfeit fortune in exchange for their authentic cooperation. In other words, men sell their eternal souls to him for temporal gain, recognition, or simply affirmation.
Can you remember the very first time you considered the choice of doing what you knew was wrong in order to get what you wanted right now? Who do you suppose was there, making that suggestion to you? Now, you can say that God has guided you all of your life, and hopefully that is true, and hopefully you have always followed His direction. But can you say you've never done wrong? Can you say you've never followed that other voice instead of God's? I dare to say this: that no one can make that claim, save Jesus Christ Himself. Every one of us has heard Satan's voice (or the voice of demons), and fallen for his temptation; we know this. Shall we then pretend that Satan or demons do not exist, or that their influence is insignificant? We know better,—else we would each be perfectly good. Which we are not.
Yet... how many times have each of us found ourselves far down a dusty road of good and principled intentions, only to find that a flaw in our thinking, or an unfortunate turn of events now exposes to us and to others the striking deficit in our own choices or character which has led to the current degraded situation? Jesus never found Himself in that situation... So why do we? Could it be because Jesus knew better than we? See, Jesus never fell for the deception and the traps which Satan and his agents continually place before us all. Thus He is our Savior, our Captain, our Great Physician, our Leader. Rise, my friends, and follow Him!
Do it today. Rise today, because the time is short. Our lives are drawing to a close, faster than we would like to think. The forces of evil are running rampant now in society and in government on a global scale. Our beloved currency, the US Dollar, will soon fail. At some point we will each be required to receive from the government a stamp of approval before we can buy a loaf of bread,—because our dollars will be absolutely worthless.
The Great Reset is a Clear and Present Reality
It's easy to think that the rampant, unrestrained, exponential printing of our federal reserve notes is the product of incompetency and ignorance on the part of our economic leaders; but it's not. These people know exactly what they are doing. It is an evil, destructive plan, designed to bring us, the citizenry, under control. Once they have completely destroyed our medium of exchange they will be able to instantiate their own new medium. Then they will have complete control over your spending, your savings, your goals, your hopes, your dreams. They will own all of your money; you will not be able to collect it, as it will reside exclusively in their repositories. Use your mark to buy some bread... they'll know you bought bread. It's not any more complicated than this. What else will they know you have purchased? I dare say: everything. Try buying a hand gun, or a rifle, or ammunition; try buying diesel or gasoline to store for times ahead; try running a blog anonymously; try hiring an attorney, or a doctor... They will know that you did so.
They will own all of your money; you will not be able to collect it, as it will reside exclusively in their repositories.
The Great Reset is not far off. It's nearer than we think. The time is short, for the U.S. dollar will no better withstand its current assault than did the German Papiermark of the Weimar Republic in the wake of WW1.
But millions upon millions of people will simply look up from their iPods, pause between Facebook posts, and say, "What? Oh, so now my debit card is printed on my wrist? Okay, that's handy, I guess." They'll simply go about their consumerist ways, not minding the new requirement to file for a permit to travel to the coast for the weekend, or to buy a house that has more bedrooms than they need. They will have been well conditioned to the notion that virtue is found in forfeiting their own ambitions in deference to those who have not worked as hard. As their standard of living steadily declines, they will find consolation in the fact that through their own sacrifice, someone else's life was made better, even though they have no idea who those people are, or whether they actually exist. They'll be happy to give their own potential in exchange for a romantic notion of "the greater good." And the "circle of life" will be for them their opium, their potatoes, and their carrots. They won't be eating much meat due to its exorbitant cost, arising from governmental controls..
My friends, will you fall for this? I know I shall not. Rather, I intend to rise.
And what shall this "Rising" look like?
First, and foremost, let me make this clear:
I am not talking about, and I do not endorse, a political uprising or revolution.
That might happen, as others who see some of the same things I see take what is to them appropriate action on the scene of politics and civics. Some of these people will be my friends.
But my rising—and yours, if you respond in kind to my entreaty—will be different. It will comprise::
- A re-focused, re-intensified addressing of my own responsibilities;
- Acknowledgement of my position before God, as a child redeemed by the blood of Christ;
- An intense recognition of exactly to whom I owe my allegiance:—it is Christ Jesus, Son of the Eternal God, Jehovah, YHWH.
- A turning to God as the One from whom I have always, and shall always, receive all of my provision.
Once your dollars no longer have any value whatsoever, how are you gonna buy what you need? You might want to think about that.
Oh, sure, you'll be given the chance to get the stamp on your forehead or your hand, and they'll credit some of your savings account balance, or your retirement account, to your number, so you can still go through the line at Safeway to buy your allocated goods. But are you gonna buy a boat? Will the ones in charge allow you such an exorbitant luxury? Exactly what will they allow or disallow? You don't know. None of us knows.
The leftist idealogues will have been put in charge, and we will all be under their thumbs. They, having been empowered to make decisions regarding the allocation of wealth and goods, will have inserted themselves into your every purchase decision. You will not be in charge of your own destiny; they will be. Thence will arise a black market. But don't get caught trading in those circles; the penalty will be harsh—as though you are a traitor; as though you, by your use of gold or silver coins which you have hoarded, would rob the poor, innocent mark-takers of the resource which they deserve.
See, it won't be exactly like the Soviet Union during the seventies and early eighties. They had rubles, a physical medium of exchange. They also had an extensive black market. But ours will be a different situation. Our McDollars will be purely electronic, and there will be no such thing as a cash transaction as we know it today. There will be no notes. We will not trade notes. We'll just scan our forehead or wrist, and thus grab a morning cup o' joe at Starbucks. For those who choose not to subscribe—who choose not to "take the mark"—no coffee for you! No groceries at Safeway either. No home mortgage, no monthly rent payment... no officially recognized transaction.
Many of us will have to live as vagrants; transients, if you will, in this world of misery and neglect, unable to accumulate much of anything. BUT! God will provide for His own, as He has promised. We will not starve, we will largely stay warm in the winter, by His unfailing grace. It will not be easy, but God will provide.
The time is short, my friends. Rise Now!
Get ready. Prepare. Get your affairs in order. Pay off your mortgage now, if you can. Own your home. If you can't, then sell it now, and buy something you can afford with cash, so that you own it. Even then, it might be seized—you never know—but full ownership will at least buy you some extra time; because the hounds will be at bay, and they will not cease their attack until they are satiated. It will be best to have a very low profile.
Sell your Porsche, and buy a Buick. Buy and store some fuel now, while you still can. Seriously: the leftists are in charge right now, whether we like to think it's true or not. How far do you think we are from a simple Oil Import Crisis, and subsequent rationing via a swipe of the pen in the form of an executive order. Will the major oil companies defy the executive order and continue to deliver fuel in accordance to free-market principles; or will they rather comply with governmental rules which dictate delivery and price controls? It's clear that compliance on their part is the more likely scenario. And since you cannot refine crude oil yourself, you should store some pre-refined oil today for the future.
Can you heat your home if the electric grid goes down? It might, so you should be prepared. Buy two cords of firewood.
Got some money in savings? You will not be damaged by converting half of it into physical silver rounds. Google it, buy it at 10% or 15% above spot price. You will come out ahead, even if I am wrong about everything else.
But above all else:
Come to Christ! Even if I am wrong about all my cataclysmic predictions—even if everything goes along swimmingly with our economy and our society—your soul is in peril if you do not
- Repent of your sins, and
- Receive Christ's gift of eternal life, granted at the cross of Calvary.
The time is short, if not by measure of the times within which we live today, then further by the fact that you don't know which breath will be your last.
I've seen too many people die within my own lifetime to believe that any of us has any kind of guarantee of longevity. The time is now, friends. The time is now. Rise now, before it's too late for you; and then your loved ones will be left with the lingering question of whether you "made peace with God," or some such notion. Wouldn't you rather leave them with no question whatsoever? I know I would... And I shall! Let there be no doubt in anyone's mind: I am sold out! Christ Jesus is my Savior! I shall enjoy an eternity—an eternity—of joy and happiness with God.
See, it doesn't really even matter what happens in our society over the months and years to come. My destiny is secure. I have cast my lot, and I invite all to follow, for I am convinced—utterly convinced—that I have made a good choice. Once Christ is your Lord, you will know what I'm talking about.

100% agree with the sentiment
100% agree with the sentiment and overall assessment. Great!
Suggestions:
1. Orthodoxy. This will clarify your theology (and thus your conclusions and actions) and most importantly the Orthodox Church is God's Way of Theosis. Don't settle for less!
2. If survival is a concern of yours......MOVE NOW. Get away from the West Coast. Get away from "America." Even if people think you're weird.....and your kids don't follow immediately, if survival of your family is important you take a huge risk staying in the US. If you have the ability you might consider an offshore "safe place." Keep in mind that even if you pay off your mortgage, you cannot ever own your property in the USA. You must pay taxes or else. Also, the USA has a long history of simply taking property from all kinds of people for any and all reasons. (ask the Mexicans, Indians, Japanese and anyone who has lost property due to a legal judgement or eminent domain.)
3. Every generation faces "the end of the world" in one form or another. Empires rise and fall. Our materialist minds can't but help equating fall of empire with "end of world." This is important simply because the fact is that not everywhere on the earth is going to have the exact same issues. Some places will be quite mild, prosperous even. Other places will be living hell. Don't believe the lie that the devil is in charge everywhere.....he is NOT! The USA is the most ambitiously wicked, evil nation on the face of the earth, but not every place is the same....many of the victims of US policies are actually improving.......case in point: Russia
Finally, each of us needs to repent. I don't mean merely an intellectualized admission that we have sinned followed by a quick prayer and some half-baked ideas about "imputed righteousness" or vague notions about the "Blood of Christ." We don't need something new and fresh....we need the Ancient Faith. I mean a physical, intellectual, financial and spiritual REVERSAL:
No more intellectual baptism....Holy Baptism.
No more ideas about the Holy Spirit.....Chrismation.
No more vague ideas about the "Blood of Christ" and "The Cross........" Eucharist.
No more intellectual confession of sins: Holy Pennance.
No more notions of a self-proclaimed priesthood or one-off churches to reach "the unchurched......" Holy Orders.
In short, embrace Sacramental Life.....Holy and Awesome and Life Creating Mysteries.....where Heaven and earth unite. No more intellectual Christianity....it's time to save the whole man.
In short, empires fall, crumble and we re-write their history to suit our own purposes. But there still remains something pure and undefiled, something eternal and enduring...The Body of Christ.
But I don't need to write any of this. You're already on this very path. Welcome home.
