I am not a psychologist. I have not been formally trained in this science.

I have, however, been a student of the science. Being surrounded by humans, all of whom have a psychological makeup, I have been motivated—if not driven—to explore and investigate the reasons and causes behind all the things they say and do. And my introspective nature calls me to look inward as well, seeking the drives and motivations behind my own words and deeds...

The term "self esteem" is actually pretty new on the scene, having hardly been mentioned prior to 1970. Yet today, in 2017, virtually everyone will agree that we cannot live without it. The inquisitives will wonder… if self-esteem didn't exist prior to the sixties, how on earth did people get along in life?
